Are Our Products Anti-Ageing?
This blog has been sitting quietly in my drafts for a long time.
After this weekend's fresh heartbreak, it feels like the right time to share it.
Short answer?
No.
Actually, our products are anti anti-ageing, and there are two deeply personal reasons for that.
Over the past fifteen years, I've watched several women lose their lives far too young. All in their early forties. Two left behind small children. One never got the chance to become a mother, not because she didn't want to, but because time simply wasn't on her side.
Women don't need to have children to be fulfilled, but as a mother myself, the thought of leaving a child without their mam is one of the most devastating scenarios imaginable.
Those experiences changed how I see ageing.
To me, ageing is not something to fight.
It is a privilege.
A sign that we are still here, still living, still becoming.
Not everyone gets that chance.
The Problem With "Anti-Ageing"
The second reason is this:
From the moment women begin earning money, we are relentlessly targeted by an industry built on making us feel not enough.
At 20, we're told we need makeup to be attractive.
At 30, that same makeup, plus creams to stop us "showing our age".
At 40, add the serums, the treatments, the interventions, whatever you do, don't look 40.
At 50, cover the greys, tone the arms, hide the changes.
We've been conditioned to fear looking like we've lived.
This messaging isn't accidental. It's designed to keep women distracted, self-critical, and spending, while our energy is pulled away from the things that truly matter.
While we're worrying about lines on our faces, women's needs are too often dismissed, under-researched, or brushed aside entirely.
That imbalance should concern us far more than wrinkles ever could.
Reclaiming the Seasons of Womanhood
My tattoo is the Triquetra, a symbol representing the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone.
Motherhood is not for everyone, and that matters.
But life is also not Maiden, Maiden, Maiden.
The Crone is not something to fear.
The word itself comes from Crown, the phase of deep knowing, perspective, and truth-telling. It is the season where we stop shrinking ourselves. Where we stop buying into narratives designed to keep us quiet. Where we reclaim authority over our bodies, our faces, and our lives.
And we owe that reclamation to our daughters.
So, Are Our Products Anti-Ageing?
No.
They are for real skin, at every stage of life.
They are made to support comfort, nourishment, and resilience, not to erase who you are or pretend time hasn't passed.
We believe in:
- Comfort over correction
- Care over control
- Supporting skin, not fighting it
Because ageing is not a failure.
It is evidence of life.
And we will never build a brand on the idea that women need to be fixed.
